Lectures and Educational Programs
We offer lectures on wildlife to any groups or organizations that are interested. Our programs vary from simple identification of native species to weeklong exhibits of all types of wildlife. Programs are tailored according to the needs of your group. They vary from pre-school level to detailed scientific studies. We have conducted programs for groups such as FPUA, Fort Pierce Utilities, PGA Golf, etc. Our education programs have been utilized by Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, nature centers, schools, private organizations and birthday parties. We believe that everyone should learn about the important role that wildlife platys in our lives and our futures.

FIELD RESEARCH STUDY #1
Hooded Pitcher Plant Rescue
(Sarracenia Minor)
We were contacted by the Oxbow Eco-Center in regards to a joint county and state rescue of Hooded Pitcher plants on a property slated for development. Wal-Mart and the county were developing property for their newly slated distribution center in St. Lucie County Florida. To say this species is rare here is an understatement! I know of only 2 localities this far south! We volunteered our time and services. Numerous people were involved in this, (Not as many as hoped but, everyone made it count) rather than list people, and forget someone we?ll leave it at that. It was surprise to see the number of plants. (About 11/2 acres) The area was extremely dry lowland scrub. (Another surprise) The preserve at the Eco-center was examined and determined that it would have 3 suitable areas for transplanting. (Yes, I?m skipping details but, it will give you the general idea of the project) During the course of the day several hundred plants were moved to their new homes. Soil sampling was conducted and a survey to determine the best spots. Not all the plants were re-located But, we hope to go back soon and help re-locate the rest.

Consultation Services
We assist state and local agencies as well as growers and private land owners with the control and management of wildlife on their properties or within their district. We also conduct surveys on property slated for development to determine the existence of populations of protected wildlife. For example the Gopher Tortoise.
